Jordan Wright Patterson
Paper / Mixed Media
Lives & Works in Newnan, Georgia
Jordan Wright Patterson draws on her career in fashion to shape and structure her intricate cut paper works. Inspired by the texture and patterns she finds in the natural world, Patterson explores these unforgiving qualities of using blades against paper, the inability to erase, and the need to accept accidents and move on. In her process, Patterson often uses music to guide her creation of shapes and gestures, letting the blade lead her “through music, thoughts and emotions”. Patterson’s work has been featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine and exhibited across the US.
