Caroline Pinney’s Enhance / Disrupt series unravels the delicate balance between connection and detachment, tracing the imprint of human presence on the physical world. Born from a week in Key West—where chance encounters, shifting tides, and sun-drenched flora shaped her perspective—this collection reflects a heightened awareness of place and perception.
Rendered with Pinney’s signature interplay of spontaneity and control, this limited edition print distills the raw energy of her original paintings. Layers of color and texture—built through acrylic, oil, and unconventional materials like natural ink stains and spray paint—create an almost topographical depth, mirroring the vibrant, evolving landscapes that inspired her. Each mark is both deliberate and instinctual, evoking the push and pull of personal and collective influence.

About the Artist
Caroline Pinney
Caroline Pinney is a contemporary figurative artist whose work primarily explores intimacy and human relationships. Since receiving her BFA, the artist has lived in Nashville, Richmond, and is now based in Austin—and is energized by the warmer weather. The landscapes and robust art and music scenes of each city have propelled her curiosity and independence, instilling lyricism and movement into her work. Pinney's work has been featured in Vanity Fair UK and The Scout Guide: Richmond.
