The use of limited tools and monochromatic materials forces careful contemplation of each mark, producing compositions that are precisely balanced and curated, yet underpinned by the carefree looseness and abstraction that is characteristic of Daniel’s practice.
Working directly on location generates a sense of immediacy within these works, producing forms and textures that speak directly to the visual language of his direct environment.
