Pieces Of Paris is an exclusive glimpse into the future of Danny Lane’s work — one in pursuit of his resolution to shoot more “b-roll” photography. A trip to Paris inspired Lane to explore the city day and night, a Leica in hand, witnessing and documenting life around him. Although the weather was downcast and gloomy for half the trip, the setting made a welcome contrast to Lane’s home in sunny, dry California and the artist happily documents the overcast sky and wet surfaces as he shares scene after Parisian scene across this delightful series.

PAIGE WASSEL ON DANNY SCOTT LANE
“I have found myself being drawn to very simple photographs. This man reading a newspaper was photographed by Danny Scott Lane. He used a film camera which I think produces the most authentic and true images. Nothing staged, nothing over the top. I absolutely love a photograph of simply nothing, just life in general, the mundane and intimate hours of the day.”
